Carbon Footprint
  • An individual, organization, product, industry, city or even country; It is the equivalent of the greenhouse gases that it causes to be released into the atmosphere due to its direct and indirect activities in terms of carbon dioxide equivalent (COâ‚‚-e).

 â€‹

  • Carbon Offsetting; providing financial support to projects that save carbon in the same amount in another place, or purchasing carbon certificates that are documented for those projects, in return for the carbon emissions released into the atmosphere.

  • Individuals or organizations that want to balance their carbon emissions can purchase carbon certificates created as a result of voluntarily provided emission reductions within the framework of a standard in order to reduce and balance these emissions by calculating their greenhouse gas emissions (carbon footprints) based on their activities.

  • Verification of your carbon footprint; Global warming is increasing at a rate that requires urgent action to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG-Greenhouse gas) emissions, especially CO2. This concerns companies of all sizes and industries. While the ISO 14064 standard provides clear guidelines and requirements for measuring and verifying emissions in a greenhouse gas inventory, it does so on an organization-project-product basis.

  • The corporate carbon footprint verification option is open to municipalities, public institutions, organizations and companies in all industries. It is aimed at anyone who wants to contribute to climate protection, increase confidence in their carbon footprint and improve their image by focusing on sustainability and climate management. Validation ensures that future legal and customer-specific requirements are considered at an early stage.

Benefits of Carbon Footprint Verification
  • Increases your credibility with your customers. For shareholders, business partners, customers or investors, it is proof that you perceive climate protection as a corporate responsibility. You meet the information needs of stakeholders who want or need to report emissions in their supply chains.

  • It makes climate protection a part of your corporate culture. You make informed statements that products, services, and organizations are climate-friendly.

  • You determine the plan by which you can reduce your organization's carbon footprint and sensitize your employees in this area. You identify areas where CO2 emissions can be reduced.

  • Based on an internationally accepted standard, your organization's progress in reducing GHG emissions becomes transparent. Verification sets you apart from competitors who have not yet taken this path. You also consider possible legal and customer-specific requirements at an early stage. You'll get better results in rankings and ratings like the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP).

  • You quantify the direct and indirect financial risks your company is exposed to due to increased emissions costs.
